IMPORTANT UPDATE: Based on the results of this shoot, Arri inspected the camera and determined that the red channel noise was outside tolerance and the body was sent back to the factory. They’re taking steps to make sure that doesn’t happen again, but if you see too much noise in the Red Channel in these images, chalk it up to that. I’ve been assured by subsequent shooters, that it’s not the case with the camera in general. Other aspects of the test are still valid.
